Our Safety
Policing, Enforcement & Emergency Services
Auto theft, property crime, speeding, traffic enforcement, emergency response and neighbourhood safety — and the clearest example of split responsibility in the whole system.
Policing
Enforcement
Emergency Services
Why this matters now
- Policing is delivered regionally by Halton Regional Police Service, governed by a Police Services Board — not by Town Council.
- By-law enforcement, speed limits, traffic calming and fire services sit with the Town.
- Residents are routinely told their safety concern belongs to a different body, which is exactly the accountability gap Our Oakville exists to close.
